Size Guide:
The recommended negative ease is -5 to -15 cm [-2 to -5 ⅞ inches] smaller than your chest measurement.
Measure yourself around your chest or at the widest point of your torso, and subtract 5-15 cm [2-5 ⅞ inches] to determine which size to knit.
The finished measurements of the garment when knitted at gauge are stated on the first page of the pattern. The measurements are taken when the garment is lying flat.
The top is designed to be tight across the bust and slightly cropped. If you want a regular length top, you can lengthen the body or peplum.
To knit 10 cm [3 ⅞ inches] of the body or 5 cm [2 inches] of peplum, you will need approximately 20 (22) 23 (25) 26 (28) 29 (30) 31 (33) 34 (35) grams of Cotton Merino. Please note that this is an estimate, and that the actual yarn consumption may vary by +/- 2 grams.
The white top is knitted in Cotton Merino (Color: Cream) from Knitting for Olive. The top is knitted in size 3, and the model is wearing the top with -4 cm [-1 ⅝ inches] negative ease. This top is the “Straight Top” version and has narrow straps.
